Dragon delivery service

At Comic Con Brussels Mama and Papa discovered our booth: Mama was already pregnant and they bought several illustrations to decorate baby Declan's room. A few weeks later they contacted us for the design of their birth announcement card! They paid us a visit to brainstorm some idea's. They both love dragons so very quickly the idea of replacing a stork delivering a baby turned into a dragon-delivery-service. The landscape on the front of the card hints at the Irish origin of baby Declan's name, and the beaches on the inside and back hint at his Dominican roots. Their cat pets were equally excited about the arrival of little Declan, so they were added to the back of the card as the dragon flies away after a job well done.

Mama and Papa added one more personal detail: the tartan blanket little Declan is wrapped in has the same colours and pattern of the little pram he's probably sleeping in as we speak! The tekst was added and the lay-out was finalised, and then we all waited for little Declan to be born. On the 14th of july we got a message from Mama and Papa with the final details. The cards were sent off to the printers and a few days later Mama and Papa could spread the word to friends and family!
